Schools transactions update 30 January 2025
Read to find out about the free school meals February holiday payment, which includes payments covering the recent school closures.
Free school meals holiday payment
The February holiday payment will be paid into bank accounts by 7 February.
This is will be paid to parents of all children currently in receipt of an income-based eligibility to FSM, and will include a payment for the school closures as a result of Storm Éowyn.
The standard payment is £15.00, but they will receive £17.50 if they have children attending
- Craigmount High School
- Drummond Community High School
- Forrester High School
These schools were additionally closed on 27 January.
FSM for P6 & P7 pupils
As we advised in our previous post, we are finalising arrangements for the expansion of free school meals to families of childrne in P6 and P7 who are in receipt of the Scottish Child Payment.
The full details will be communicated to you in a further post in February, however please note that awards will commence after the February holiday, on 17 February.
