Schools transactions update 19 February 2025

Free school meals
FSM for P6 & P7 pupils
As we told you in the 9 January update, we were finalising arrangements for the expansion of free school meals to families of children in P6 and P7 who are in receipt of the Scottish Child Payment.
The application form went live on 19 February and we have sent an email to over 7000 parents about the scheme.

As previously advised, the entitlement will be recorded on SEEMiS but it will be separate from the current FSM approval. More info will be released to you in due course.
P1/S1 intake update
Over the next fortnight we will be finalising the initial allocation of places and responding to all placing requests received up to 24 December. We will also write to all parents of children who asked us for a place in their RC catchment school.
This process will be completed by Friday 7 March, with all decisions notifed to parents by email on this date.
You may notice changes to your intake numbers during this time - we ask that you do not communicate any changes to parents until we've advised the process is complete. A further update will be issued after this date.
